This marine diptych “life below water” is regarding underwater scene where the rich under life is shown when everything is well and the other shows what happens when oceans are flooded with plastic and other debris.

According to the United Nations, at least 800 species worldwide are affected by marine debris, and as much as 80 percent of that litter is plastic. It is estimated that up to 13 million metric tons of plastic ends up in the ocean each year.

Research indicates that half of sea turtles worldwide have ingested plastic. As many sea turtles cannot differentiate between plastic bag and jellyfish, they feed on plastic bags.  This causes fullness in their stomach, and they starve to death.
